Yoga Nidra “Yogic sleep” aims to create a state of deep relaxation, moving awareness from the external to the internal.

Kirtan
Kirtan means “to praise that which is exalted”. The word “Kirtan” also stems from a Sanskrit root that means “to cut through”. Kirtan can be a a practice for cutting through the idea of separation, connecting to our hearts through sound.

Prerequisites:
Have a consistent Yoga practice (a minimum of 3 in-person yoga classes per week. Any studio)
Attend at least 6 Maha Sadhana Sessions at the Shala prior to applying.
Have a daily meditation/Sadhana Practice.
In the Training You Will Learn:
How to lead impactful, authentic classes that inspire and resonate
How to safely give hands-on adjustments to refine alignment and support students safely
Kriya, Mantra, Mudra, Meditation, and Kirtan as direct practices of transformation and connection
Sanskrit pronunciation, terminology, and etymology
Yogic “field trips”: practice in nature, visit the Hanuman Temple in Taos, and take classes at Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe to benefit from the wisdom of master teachers Tias and Surya Little.
Teacher Training takes place at the Sadhika Yoga Shala in Downtown ABQ.
Our 9-month program meets every other Sunday, offering a steady, sustainable rhythm that supports both deep learning and time for integration.
